A DBMS is a structured system for working with databases with an established set of rules.

All information stored in an organized manner (in special tables) is subject to requirements that you set yourself: who can make changes, whether backups are needed, what information in the database is out of date, etc. These features make the database flexible functionality that is customizable and gives control over all information.

The DBMS characterizes:

ensuring data security and integrity;
fast and reliable access to information;
simultaneous multi-user access;
backup, which allows you to overcome technical equipment failures without data loss.

There are many servers for working with databases: PostgreSQL, Sqlite, MySQL, MSSQL, Oracle and others.

MySQL is available on shared hosting.
