Setting up an FTP client in Total Commander Print

  • 1

After receiving information with access details to your hosting account, you will be able to create an FTP connection to the server.

1. Calling the FTP client in the Total Commander / Windows Commander programs is carried out using the CTRL+F key combination, or through the Net > FTP Connect menu. In the window that opens, select "New connection".

2. In the window that appears, fill in the fields in accordance with the information sent,
Session - connection name
Host name — FTP server address, for example, “ftp.domain.com”
User name - system user, for example, “login”
Password - system password

When working through a proxy server, or in the case when the FTP client successfully passes authorization but returns an empty list of files, you must specify a passive connection mode - check the “Use passive mode for transfers (like a WWW browser)” checkbox.

After filling out the form, click “OK”, as a result, a new connection will appear in the list of servers.

3. To establish a connection to the server, click the “Connect” button.
